Today was great because I felt good enough to drive out of town to get my allergy shots, which were a couple days late due to me feeling like crap with a sinus infection and lung gunk. But today I felt human! So I also had the opportunity to stop at a couple of yarn stores to look for some yarn to crochet a scarf to go with my new silver grey jacket. Got some… and also got many skeins of big poofy yarn to make hats for people at the cancer center. That’s my new activity. One of those creative outlet excuses to buy yarn sort of things.

Also, my high school kid (Nik) got accepted at one of the colleges he applied to! This is his first decision, so that’s grand that it was a YES. This was University of Michigan, which may be a super choice for him. But lots of bridges to cross before he makes that decision.

So yippee! Also, it snowed pretty hard all the way driving to Ann Arbor (where I get shots) and that was a nice feeling. You know I’ve got this thing for snow. Good day all around.

Confession: the real reason I even wanted to start a blog… well, I should say, the clincher that pushed me over the top… is the snow feature that I found WordPress has. You can make it snow on your blog! I was incredibly impressed with that little tidbit. It’s a special feature only available for a few weeks, but it got me sucked in. So here I am.

I’ve got a lot of work to do, because most of this makes no sense to me. I don’t know what things like “tag surfer” mean, or even “dashboard,” although I’ve seen that word in other places. I just thought I needed a blog. This clock is wrong… about 5 hours fast, so I guess I have to find out how to change that, too.

Ok, I’m going to go crochet and drink some tea for a bit.
